With so many events happening this month we wanted to touch on each one and get the word out. Each of these events grows larger and larger each year with wonderful community support. Get out and take advantage of these wonderful events though out the month of October.
13th Annual Fall Craft Show 10/15/11 & 10/16/11
Joyce Lynch will be hosting her 13th Annual Fall Craft show on Saturday 10/15/11 and Sunday 10/16/11 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Rain or Shine). Browse through a wide variety of handmade and seasonal crafts. These items are perfect for decorating your home for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Get something for you or a gift for someone for the holiday season. Refreshments will be available. The Craft Show will be located at 1057 Lake Claire Dr. which is on the corner of Linden Tree and Lake Claire Dr.

1st Annual Pumpkin Patch Festival 10/15/11
Cape St. Claire United Methodist Church will host its 1st Pumpkin Patch Festival on October 15 from 10 AM to 3 PM. There will be pumpkins for sale, pumpkin baked goods, lots of food, cold and hot drinks, lots of vendors, a moon bounce, games and fun, fun, fun!
This event kicks off our pumpkin patch which will be open for the community during the week of October 17-21

Holiday Craft Show 10/22/11
There will be a Holiday Craft Show Saturday, October 22, 2011 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM at the Cape St. Claire Clubhouse. Crafters needed, call Mary Lamb at 410-757-0593. This event is sponsored by CSC Halloween Happenings.

Cape St. Claire Halloween Happenings 10/22/11
In response to many request the Strawberry Festival Committee is sponsoring our 3rd Annual Halloween Event in the corral area of the clubhouse on Saturday, October 22nd 2011. We will be hosting crafts, a moon bounce, hayrides, scarecrow making and pumpkin patch. Food and crafts will be available to purchase. ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED and spaces will be limited. Send your registrations early.

3rd Goshen Farm Annual Halloween Ball 10/22/11
This year’s event is on Saturday, October 22nd at 7:30 pm. DJ Chris Timko will be spinning the tunes, Silent Auction, 50/50, Costume Contest. Each ticket gets you delectable hors devours from Chef Beth Rocco and 1 drink your choice beer, wine or soda. There will be plenty of additional beverages available for purchase. GFPS member price $20 per ticket, non member $25. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
We will be at the CSC United Methodist Church Fall Festival on 10/15 selling tickets and in front of Graul’s on 10/16. Or, you can contact Barbara Riordan Morgan or any board member directly for tickets or to reserve a table. Lots of great silent auction stuff including a fire pit from True Value, Fishing Charter from the Sloskeys, Fishing Rod and Reel from Anglers, lots of restaurant gift Certs. – we have been well supported by our local shopping center! Come out and have some fun and support a great cause for OUR community. All proceeds to benefit the restoration of Goshen Farm. Trick or Treat at the Shopping Center 10/29/11
Join your friends and neighbors as they dress up and trick-or-treat at the Cape St. Claire Shopping Center. Trick-or-Treating will begin at 5:00 PM and last until 6:30 PM or until the candy is gone. Look for signs in the windows of the local merchants to identify those participating.

Big V’s 4th Annual Halloween 5K and Fall Festival 10/30/11
Join Big V for the 4th Annual 5K to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The race will initiate from Big Vanilla Arnold at 8am and the course will run through the campus of Anne Arundel Community College. All participants (must be 13 years of age or older) will be entered into a raffle for prizes from our sponsors. Costumes are encouraged. Last year’s event was a great success and raised over $10,000.00 for St. Jude!
Donation: $28 per person includes a t-shirt (age 13 and older).
